Principal Scientist, Pharmaceuticals And Bioengineering, Chemical Defense at Southwest Research Institute

Dr. Gloria Gutierrez has a diverse work experience across multiple industries and positions. Dr. Gloria started their career as a Senior Scientist at OsteoScreen, LTD in 1988 and worked there until 2006. Dr. Gloria then joined OsteoGenix as the Director of Preclinical Studies from 2006 to 2010. In 2006, they also became an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Clinical Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they worked until 2009. Dr. Gloria then held the role of Principal Scientist in Pharmaceuticals and Bioengineering, Chemical Defense at Southwest Research Institute from 2009 to the present. In addition to their academic and research positions, they have also been an Adjunct Associate Professor at UTSA, Biomedical Engineering since 2011 and at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) since 2009. In 2016, they took on the role of Health Care Coordinator at Sisters of Charity St Joan Antida. Most recently, they worked as a Tour Coordinator at Holy Travel since 2018.

Dr. Gloria Gutierrez obtained their Medical Doctorate from UNAM between 1972 and 1978. Following this, they pursued a Specialty in Endocrinology and Metabolism at UNAM from 1978 to 1982.
