Suzanne Armstrong is an experienced professional with a diverse background in creative and educational roles. As the Independent Business Owner of Double Comfort Studios since March 2016, Suzanne specializes in making custom quilts. In addition, Suzanne has served as an instructor at the Southwest School of Art since September 2000, teaching Inkle loom weaving to young children in a free program. Previous experience includes a Wellness Instructor position for Alamo Colleges staff from January 2012 to June 2013 and serving as the Public Programs Coordinator at the San Antonio Museum of Art from 1999 to 2000, where Suzanne organized activities to engage the public with museum exhibits. Suzanne holds a BFA in Graphic Design and Photography from Southern Methodist University and a Special Education Teaching Certification from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Southwest School of Art
Southwest School of Art is the only independent college of art in the state of Texas and operates as a private, nonprofit institution. In addition to the Bachelor of Fine Arts program, Southwest School of Art provides studio art programs for non degree-seeking students in San Antonio and surrounding communities. As part of our mission to teach and advance the visual arts for the benefit of those seeking higher education and for others seeking education and enrichment, all exhibitions and lectures at Southwest School of Art are free and open to the public. The Southwest School of Art is a nationally-recognized leader in arts education, offering studio programs for more than 4000 adults, children and teens annually. Classes and workshops are taught by outstanding local, regional and national artists in state-of-the-art facilities; the school offers a certificate program for professional artists.
