Michael Garcia

Director, Campus Safety & Security at Southwestern Law School

Michael Garcia, M.S., is a seasoned professional in the fields of safety, security, and law enforcement, currently serving as the Director of Campus Safety and Security at Southwestern Law School since October 2022. Responsibilities include developing strategic safety plans, implementing public safety programs, and coordinating emergency response protocols. Previous roles include Captain of Humane Law Enforcement at the San Diego Humane Society, where oversight of administration and emergency response was key, and Police Sergeant for the City of Escondido, managing officers and community interventions. Michael also founded and managed California Traffic Safety School, achieving significant revenue growth, and contributed as an Adjunct Professor at Palomar College, delivering curriculum in law enforcement disciplines. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from National University.
