Shaojun Gao

Shaojun Gao has a strong background in process engineering and project management. Shaojun recently worked at Southwire Company as a Lead Process Engineer, overseeing various extrusion and finishing/packaging projects. Shaojun was responsible for expanding capacity, optimizing processes, and integrating new products into existing manufacturing systems. Prior to that, they owned and managed a business at ICI Jiangsu Ltd, where they served as an exclusive distributor and service provider for an IoT Power Management System. Shaojun successfully established regional resales and achieved positive cash flow before selling the business. Shaojun also worked at Panasonic for several years, first as a New Program Launch (NPL) Manager, where they executed successful product launches, managed budgets and resources, and implemented TPS practices. Shaojun then transitioned to Panasonic Automotive as a Senior MFG Engineer, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading the design and implementation of assembly and testing equipment for new product launches. Earlier in their career, Shaojun worked at Magna International as an Engineering Supervisor, where they managed manufacturing process development and led Kaizen initiatives.

Shaojun Gao has a diverse education history. They completed an MBA with a focus on Operations Management at the University of Mississippi - School of Business Administration. They also obtained a Lean MFG Certificate from the University of Michigan. In addition, Shaojun Gao pursued MS coursework in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Wayne State University. They hold a Master of Science (MS) degree in Automotive Engineering from Tsinghua University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hunan University. Shaojun Gao has also attained several certifications including Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Financial Manager (CFM), Professional Engineer, and Program Management Professional (PMP).
