Gary W. Pace

Dr. Snyder is currently a Professor at and the former Director (1980 – 2006) of the Department of Neuroscience at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is a distinguished scholar who has received numerous honorary degrees, honorary awards and scientific prizes. He is a member of several honorary societies, including the National Academy of Sciences. He is on the editorial board of multiple scientific publications, including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, is the author of six books and over one thousand scientific articles. He is a former member of the board of directors of Nova Pharmaceuticals, Scios, and Guilford Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Snyder is a graduate of Georgetown College and Georgetown Medical School in Washington, D.C.
