Christine Markowitz has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Christine started their career as a Senior Associate at Coopers & Lybrand from 1992 to 1996. Christine then worked as a Controller at Intershop Communications, a global e-commerce software company, from 1999 to 2001. Christine managed a finance team and was responsible for financial planning and analysis.
From 2001 to 2004, Christine worked as a Controller at Ward North America, an insurance claims service provider. During their tenure, they implemented an overhaul of the company's financial reporting and managed the accounting and reporting aspects of its acquisition by new majority owners.
Christine then took on the role of Controller and Business Manager at WWBT/NBC12 Raycom Media, a leading broadcast television station, from 2005 to 2009. Christine was a senior member of the station's management team and led strategic goal setting and planning.
From 2009 to 2011, Christine served as an Assistant CFO at Southside Regional Medical Center, a 300-bed acute care hospital. Christine then became the CFO of Carolinas Hospital System-Marion, a 124-bed hospital with associated physician practices from 2011 to 2014. Christine'sresponsibilities included overseeing various departments such as accounting, case management, IT, and business office.
In 2017, Christine joined East Georgia Regional Medical Center as CFO, where they worked until 2019. Christine then took on the role of Market CFO at Sovah Health, where they are currently employed.
Christine Markowitz attended the University of Virginia from 1988 to 1992 and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting.
