Jim Rice

Jim Rice has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Jim started their career in 1991 as the Director of Materials Services at Anaheim General Hospital and then moved on to be the Assistant Director of Materials Services at Friendly Hills Healthcare Network in 1994. Jim later worked as a Director at Owen Healthcare from 1989 to 1996.

In 1996, Jim became the Assitant Administrator at Pacifica Hospital until 1999, when they transitioned to Hoag Hospital. At Hoag Hospital, they served various roles including Assistant VP Support Services from 1999 to 2002, Director of Materials Services from 1999 to 2002, VP Operations & Facilities from 2007 to 2015, and VP Strategic Development from 2015 to 2016.

After leaving Hoag Hospital, Jim worked as the Chief Operations Officer at Share Our Selves from 2016 to 2017. Currently, they are the Senior Vice President of Operations at Sovereign Healthcare since 2017.

Jim Rice received their High School Diploma from Abington Heights High School in 1985. Jim then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Health Policy And Administration from Penn State University, which they completed in 1989. Later, in 1996, they received an MBA from Pepperdine University. Jim also obtained additional certifications, including one in Managing Healthcare Delivery from Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2010 and another from California Healthcare Leadership College in 2011.
