Michelle Hoffman

Chief Financial Officer at Sovereign’s Capital

Michelle serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Sovereign’s Capital.

Previously, Michelle was the Chief Administrative Officer for Foundry.ai for both the fund and its portfolio companies. Prior to Foundry, she became a Principle at a national accounting firm after founding and growing a CFO consulting practice that helped early stage companies grow into successful exits to private and publicly traded companies and PE firms.

Throughout her career, she has supported the entrepreneurial community through panels and training for organizations such as the Washington DC Economic Partnership Entrepreneur Road Map Series, the Greater Washington DC Society of CPAs, Women in Public Policy and the DC Lean Startup Meetup. She served as a board member of the Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc. (FITCI) a business incubator and accelerator for tech and biotech companies in Frederick, MD.

Michelle is a Certified Public Accountant and was a Crimson Scholar at New Mexico State University graduating Phi Kappa Phi with Honors earning a BBA in Economics and International Business.

She is an avid Major League Rugby fan and Old Glory DC season ticket holder. Her passions include urban economic development and New Mexico Hatch green chili.
