Vishal Punwani, MD

Vishal Punwani, MD has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2014, they worked as a Medical Editor at Osmosis - Knowledge Diffusion until 2018. From 2015 to 2018, they served as an Educational Consultant at Harvard Medical School. In 2017, they held positions as a Consultant at the International Telecommunication Union and as an NCD mHealth Developer at the World Health Organization. Additionally, they worked as a Medical Doctor at The Royal Melbourne Hospital & NorthWestern Mental Health from 2017 to 2020. In 2018, they became a Startup Advisor at the Harvard Innovation Labs. In 2019, they took on the role of Entrepreneur In Residence at Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs. Starting in 2020, they became a Startup Advisor at the University of Oxford and an Alumni Advisor at MassChallenge. Most recently, in 2020, they became the CEO and Cofounder of SoWork, a company pioneering the future of work.

Vishal Punwani, MD has a diverse education history. In 2007 to 2011, they attended the University of Victoria where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Zoology/Animal Biology. Following this, from 2011 to 2012, they pursued further studies at The University of British Columbia, earning another Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree, this time in Nutrition Sciences. Vishal then continued their education at the University of Melbourne from 2013 to 2016, focusing on Medicine. In 2015 to 2016, they also attended Harvard Medical School for additional medical studies. In 2017, Vishal Punwani attended Harvard University for an Executive Education Certificate in Innovations in Healthcare and Education, with a specialization in Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Lastly, from 2018 to 2020, they pursued Entrepreneurship studies at Harvard Business School.
