Matthew Turner

Matthew Turner is an Associate Director leading Basin Research at S&P Global Energy, specializing in unconventional hydrocarbons, geothermal energy, and critical minerals. With extensive experience in geological and financial modeling, Matthew has previously held roles as a Principal Researcher at IHS Markit, where they focused on global unconventional resources and developed complex geological models. They also served as a Senior Research Associate at Cardiff University, researching carbon sequestration and conducting feasibility studies. Matthew is passionate about BMX racing and actively contributes to the Bath BMX Club as vice-chairman, working to secure funding for track renovations.
