Usman Khan

Usman Khan is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Lead Application Security Engineer at S&P Global since September 2024. Previously, Usman worked as a Senior Security Intelligence Researcher at Lookout, where responsibilities included developing jailbreak detection coverage and creating security feature proofs-of-concept for iOS clients. Usman also held the role of Senior Penetration Tester at ExpressVPN, focusing on comprehensive penetration testing across various platforms and security assessments for AWS-hosted backends. As a Manager at KPMG Singapore, Usman led mobile penetration testing for external clients and trained teams, while also serving as an Assistant Manager performing security assessments for banks and educational institutions. Earlier career experiences include Head of Innovation at V-Key and Android Malware Researcher at FireEye, where Usman oversaw research and development of security mechanisms and analyzed malware. Usman Khan earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at NUST in 2012.
