Technical Program Analyst at SPA

Kirsten Logan has a diverse work experience in various roles. Kirsten began their career in 2016 with a six-week engineering internship at the National Security Agency, where they provided support for Information Assurance projects. After that, Kirsten worked at the U.S. Coast Guard from 2017 to 2020. Their roles included being a Student Engineer, where they led a team in maintaining and operating damage control and electrical equipment. Kirsten also served as the Gas Free Engineer, certifying spaces for safety. In 2019, Kirsten became a Project Manager for the National Security Cutter program, overseeing post-delivery installations and fleet sustainment. Since 2020, they have been working as a Technical Program Analyst at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc., analyzing U.S. Coast Guard programs and supporting the acquisition process for USCG capabilities.

Kirsten Logan has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from the US Coast Guard Academy. Kirsten obtained this degree between 2013 and 2017. Kirsten also completed a Service Academy Preparatory Program at Marion Military Institute from 2012 to 2013.

In terms of additional certifications, Kirsten has obtained various certifications. Kirsten is certified as a Naval Engineering Officer by the U.S. Coast Guard, which they obtained in May 2020. Kirsten also holds a certification in Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM) from the Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI), obtained in June 2020. Additionally, they have a certification as a 100 Ton US Merchant Marine Officer Li from the U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Center, received in May 2017. Kirsten's qualifications also include a certification as a Contracting Officer's Representative (FAC-COR) from the Federal Acquisition Institute, obtained in July 2018.

Currently, Kirsten is pursuing a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. Kirsten started this program in 2021 and is expected to complete it in 2023.
