Miguel J. S. Ferreira

Miguel J. S. Ferreira is a professional with expertise in biosciences and regenerative medicine, currently serving as a Biosciences Space Business Developer at Space Applications Services NV/SA since February 2023. Previously, Miguel held the position of Senior Scientist at Quest Meat from April 2022 to January 2023 and completed a PhD in Regenerative Medicine at The University of Manchester from September 2017 to June 2022, under the supervision of Dr. Marco Domingos and Professors Susan Kimber and Michael Buckley. Miguel has also contributed as a Management Committee Member and President of the Student European Low Gravity Research Association (SELGRA) from 2015 to 2021, and participated in various research roles, focusing on biomaterials and cell delivery systems, including work at the Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde and the Manchester Biomanufacturing Centre. Miguel obtained a Master's Degree in Bioengineering from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto in 2016.
