Sohom Roy

Sohom Roy is a mechanical engineering and electrical engineering and computer science major at the University of California, Berkeley, with extensive experience in propulsion, avionics systems, and robotics. As Chief Engineer at Space Enterprise at Berkeley, Sohom designs components for a bipropellant motor and leads the development of an automatic pressure regulation system. Previous internships at Stoke Space involved designing thrust chamber components and environmental control systems, along with conducting structural and fluid analysis. Sohom has contributed to robotic projects as an undergraduate researcher and has led initiatives aimed at improving accessibility for individuals with visual disabilities. Additional experience includes development work at the Naval Surface Warfare Center and leadership in competitive robotics.
