Mark Ramsey has a diverse work experience in the space industry. Mark is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Space Machines Company since March 2022. Prior to that, they served in various roles at the Space Industry Association of Australia, including Deputy Chairperson, Director, and Advisory Council Member from 2016 onwards. Mark also worked at SITAEL Australia as an Executive Director and General Manager from 2018 to February 2022. Additionally, Mark served as an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of South Australia from November 2018 to October 2021. Mark has been actively involved in the AIAA Adelaide Section, holding positions such as Council Member and Immediate Past Chair, Chair, and Vice Chairman from 2014 to 2019. Mark has previously worked at Lockheed Martin Australia Pty Ltd as a Project Engineering Manager from 2015 to 2018, and at NewSat as a Spacecraft Systems Engineer from 2013 to 2015. Mark also worked at Thales Australia as a Bid Manager from 2011 to 2013. Mark's early experience includes working as a Bid Manager and Systems Engineer at Thales Alenia Space in France from 2008 to 2011.

Mark Ramsey completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at the University of South Australia from 2017 to 2019. In 2018, they also obtained a GAICD certification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2019, they attended the Business in China MBA Short Course at Peking University. Prior to their MBA, Mark earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronic) Hons. degree from the University of Adelaide from 1999 to 2003. During the same period, they also obtained a Diploma of Languages specializing in Mandarin Chinese at the University of Adelaide.
