Philippe Stephan

Philippe Stephan has a strong background in technology and product development. Philippe is currently an Advisor at ValidMind Inc. where they support the development, validation, and certification of models used in production. Prior to this, Philippe was the CTO at SpacePlace Inc.

From 2014 to 2020, Philippe held the roles of Head of Products and CTO at various Fintech and Insurtech companies such as Giift and Viewpost. Philippe was responsible for structured product development and raised $50 million in funding.

From 2009 to 2014, Philippe served as the Head of Products and CTO at RMS, a risk modeling company. Philippe managed a global team of 450 technologists and oversaw the development of risk models, software, and data production.

Earlier in their career, Philippe was the Head of Business Development at Advent International / Sophis, where they advised on financial technology M&A transactions. Philippe also worked at Moody's Analytics as the Head of Products and held roles in product development and systems at Creditland.com, NextOffice.com, and CALFP Bank.

In 1989, Philippe was the Chief Engineer at Eiffel Software, leading the technical team in the release of Eiffel 3.0, a software development environment.

Throughout their career, Philippe has demonstrated expertise in technology, product development, and risk management, making significant contributions to the companies they have worked for.

Philippe Stephan obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science and Management from the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne, where they studied from 1986 to 1989.
