Attila Kabai

Attila Kabai is a Principal Mechanical Engineer at SpaceX, where responsibilities include the design, analysis, and manufacturing of high-performance components and systems since November 2022. Kabai is also the Founder of ELEV8.design Inc., a startup focused on high-performance low-cost robotics and aerial vehicle systems, a role held since August 2017. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Engineer at Appolo Fusion, developing electromechanical systems for hybrid fusion and electric thrusters, and as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Google, where work involved designing robotic systems and long-range RF communication systems. Additional roles include Lead Build Engineer at Meka Robotics, R&D Engineer at UC Berkeley, Propulsion Engineer at Space Propulsion Group, and Mechanical Engineer at Digital Technology Laboratory Corporation. Kabai holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mechanical Engineering from California State University-Sacramento.
