Caitlin Smith is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in program development and management within the aerospace industry. Currently serving as Director of Program Development at SpaceX since January 2019, Caitlin has held multiple roles including Senior Program Development Manager and Lead Build Reliability Engineer. Prior experience at GE Aviation included roles as GEnx Systems Engineer and participation in the Edison Engineering Development Program, culminating in a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Caitlin has also contributed to STEM education initiatives at the University of Notre Dame as part of the NSF Grant Leadership Council. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
