George Lazescu

George Lazescu is an experienced engineer and data scientist currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at Purdue University, expected to graduate in May 2024. Involvement with the Purdue Space Program: A SEDS Chapter includes supporting design and testing operations for liquid and hybrid rockets at Zucrow Laboratories. As a Propulsion, Avionics, & GNC Specialist with Purdue Orbital, George has designed printed circuit boards and hardware and documented research for an experimental "rockoon" launch system. Additionally, as an Undergraduate Data Science Researcher at The Data Mine, George developed a predictive maintenance algorithm for Republic Airways and utilized coding and analytical skills to enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities as a Data Research Student Worker at the Purdue Research Foundation include conducting business intelligence research under the guidance of Greg Deason and Deanna Bush to support university partnerships with various companies.
