Kevin Portella

Kevin Portella is an experienced engineer with a strong background in aerospace and mechanical engineering. At SpaceX since June 2017, Kevin has advanced from Launch Engineer to Manager of Falcon Engineering, focusing on stage 1 reflight and final integration processes. Prior to SpaceX, Kevin worked at Eaton from June 2015 to June 2017 as a Test Engineer and Research and Development Engineer, where responsibilities included coordinating testing capabilities and developing new technologies for vehicle systems. Additionally, Kevin completed a Mechanical Engineering Design Internship at Eaton in 2014, redesigning parts for improved structural integrity and conducting finite element analyses. Kevin's early experience includes leading engineering projects at the University of Florida, culminating in a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2015.
