Kyle Hosford is a Senior Software Engineer at SpaceX, responsible for developing, testing, and supporting mission-critical, human-rated software for the Falcon launch vehicles and Dragon spacecraft since September 2013. With extensive experience in mission control operations, Kyle has contributed to numerous Falcon 9 and Dragon missions, including overseeing the crew certification process and leading the Ground Software team for the first crewed missions. Prior experience includes a Graduate Student Researcher role at UC Irvine, focusing on optimal control systems, and internships at Goodrich and Emulex, where Kyle gained skills in design technologies and technical evaluation. Kyle holds a Master of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science & Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from UC Irvine, coupled with leadership experience as the President of the Engineering Student Council.
