Satellite Mechanical Engineer (starshield) at SpaceX

Mihir Shah is an experienced aerospace engineer currently serving as a Satellite Mechanical Engineer at SpaceX since May 2024, focusing on Starshield systems. Prior to this role, Mihir worked at Boeing Defense, Space & Security as a Design and Analysis Engineer 1, contributing to the electrical design of instrumentation systems for defense aircraft. Mihir also led powertrain initiatives for Bruin Racing, achieving notable success in the Formula SAE competition, and served in various engineering and leadership capacities in student organizations, including the SOLIDWORKS Student Leader Program and Project Prometheus. Mihir holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from UCLA and is pursuing a Master of Science in the same field.
