Samuel Gibbs IV has been the Vice President of Starlink Business Operations at SpaceX since September 2016. Prior to that, they were an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company from September 2014 to September 2016. During their time at McKinsey & Company, they led a fixed effort to reduce fixed cost at an energy company, designed a business planning process for a large regulated utility, completed value engineering scrubs of capital projects, hosted lean construction and design for construction idea generation workshops, and completed a lean service operations improvement study. Samuel also conducted Design-to-Value analysis for a large aerospace and defense client and created a go to market strategy for selling to new customer segments for a leading unregulated energy company.
Samuel Gibbs IV attended Duke University for both their undergraduate and graduate studies, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Material Science, as well as a Ph.D in the same field.
