Stephen Harlow

Stephen Harlow is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Sr. Director of Starship Vehicle Engineering at SpaceX, where responsibilities include managing a multi-disciplinary team of over 140 engineers and technicians. Harlow's extensive background at SpaceX spans multiple leadership roles, including Director and Senior Manager of Starship Vehicle Engineering, as well as positions managing Falcon Vehicle Engineering teams. Prior to SpaceX, Harlow held key roles at MRacing Formula SAE, including Technical Director and Lead Frame Engineer, where innovative vehicle designs were developed. Harlow earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, graduating Magna Cum Laude and receiving several academic honors. Additional experience includes an automotive research internship and a Body CAE Internship at Ford Motor Company, where valuable skills in design, analysis, and optimization were honed.
