Tyreis Gatson

Tyreis Gatson, EIT, is an accomplished mechanical engineer with extensive internship experience in propulsion and project engineering, having worked with notable organizations such as Sierra Space, Aerojet Rocketdyne, and NASA. As a Propulsion Engineering Intern at Sierra Space, Tyreis contributed to the Dream Chaser® Reaction Control System through hardware production and validation. In addition to engineering roles, Tyreis served as the Founding President of the National Society of Black Engineers at UNR, fostering professional opportunities and collaboration. Educationally, Tyreis graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno, and has engaged in teaching and research, including hands-on projects for NASA and K-12 STEM outreach.
