David McQuain

David McQuain has over 10 years of work experience in the renewable energy industry. David is currently working as a Senior Sales Ops Specialist at SPAN since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Yes Solar Solutions as a Business Analyst from January 2021 to May 2022, a Business Development Specialist from June 2020 to January 2021, and an Energy Specialist - Sales from April 2019 to June 2020. At Yes Solar Solutions, they achieved a revenue target of 120% in 2019 and successfully closed over 40% of solar contracts with energy storage.

Before joining Yes Solar Solutions, David worked at Tesla as an Associate Program Manager - Certified Installer Operations from April 2018 to September 2018, and as an Installation Specialist - Powerwall from April 2017 to April 2018. At Tesla, they supported the network of North America Powerwall Certified Installers, onboarded new organizations to the Certified Installer network, monitored program compliance, and provided technical support for Powerwall installations.

David also has experience working at SolarCity as a Sales Engineer - Commercial from August 2015 to April 2017, where they were a subject matter expert on photovoltaic system design and commercial utility rate plans. Additionally, they worked at Cisco as a One Enterprise Project Lead from March 2015 to August 2015, and as a Sales Support Specialist from October 2013 to August 2015. At Cisco, they provided support to sales teams, channel partners, and system engineers, and played a key role in increasing sales efficiency and supporting the Channel Partner Program.

David's career in the renewable energy industry began at Yes! Solar Solutions as a Solar Technician - Residential and Commercial from October 2012 to October 2013.

David McQuain received their Bachelor of Science degree in Appropriate Technology & Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications in Electrical for Construction from the OSHA Safety Training Institute in October 2012. David also holds a 10 hour certificate from the OSHA Safety Training Institute. Furthermore, David McQuain has a PV Technical Sales Certification from the NABCEP: North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners. The specific dates of obtaining the latter certifications were not provided.
