Michael Motola-Barnes

Michael Motola-Barnes has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Michael is currently working as a Senior Electronics Design Engineer at Span since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Engineer at Albion Power Company, Inc. from November 2020 to January 2021.

Michael'slongest tenure was at Mide Technology Corporation, where they held various roles. Michael started as an Electrical Engineer in June 2011 and worked until January 2017. In this role, they focused on electronics design for defense R&D applications, including circuit design, PCB prototype build and testing, and coordinating product manufacturing. Michael specialized in applications for piezoelectric materials, such as vibration sensing, actuation, and energy harvesting.

Michael then took on the role of Senior Electrical Engineer at Mide Technology Corporation from January 2017 to March 2020. Here, they were responsible for electronics hardware design, testing and validation, production support, project management, business development, and customer support. Michael led the launch of a piezoelectric haptics development kit with a cross-functional team and developed new hardware for the enDAQ datalogger product line.
