Alberto Hernández Barranco is a PhD student at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) since September 2017, following an internship and final master's dissertation at the same institution in early 2017 that focused on the analysis of NGFR secreted in extracellular vesicles during pre-metastatic niche formation. Prior to this, Alberto gained experience through internships at Hospital Universitario de La Princesa, developing a model for non-small cell lung cancer, and at Centro de Biotecnología y Genómica de Plantas CBGP-UPM, where laboratory practices and research related to molecular plant biology and allergenicity were conducted. Alberto completed a Master's Degree in Molecular Biomedicine from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, building a strong foundation in the biological sciences.
