Catalina Berca is a PhD candidate at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) since September 2020, bringing a strong background in biotechnology. Prior to this, Catalina held a technical and research position at the Institut Pasteur de Montevideo from August 2018 to July 2020 and completed an internship at E.E.A Rafaela, INTA in May 2018. Catalina's academic journey includes a bachelor's thesis on "Cryopreservation of Embryonic Neural Stem Cells (ENSCs) by the slow cooling technique," conducted at the Centro Binacional Argentina-Italia de Investigaciones en Criobiología Clínica y Aplicada-CAIC from March 2016 to February 2018. Catalina earned a Licenciatura in Biotechnology from Universidad Nacional de Rosario, completing the degree in 2018.
