Juan Vázquez Cantó

Juan Vázquez Cantó is a PhD Candidate in the Brain Metastasis group at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) since September 2023. Previously, Juan was a Master Thesis Student at VIB from September 2022 to June 2023, contributing to single-cell multi-omics analysis of tumor and blood samples from the RAMONA clinical trial, which evaluated a dual immune checkpoint blockade therapy for refractory esophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients. In early 2021, Juan completed a final-year internship at Universitat Politècnica de València, focusing on the isolation and characterization of Helicobacter Pylori and Arcobacter bacteria within an integrated project on microbiological diversity in organic vegetables. Juan holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Maastricht University (2021-2023) and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Universitat Politècnica de València (2017-2021).
