Hasni Mehdi is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in the fintech sector and web application development. Currently serving as Head of Engineering at Spare since May 2019, Hasni oversees the development of an innovative open banking platform throughout the GCC while architecting a microservices infrastructure for enhanced performance. Prior to this, Hasni worked as a Web Application Developer at Detatec SARL from April 2016 to May 2018, where a centralized inventory management system was created to improve sales and service processes. Earlier experience includes developing a dynamic company website for Kam Confort Industrie in 2015. Hasni holds an Engineer's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique de Sousse and a Master of Library & Information Science with a focus on Computer Software Technology from ISET SOUSSE.

Spare is certified as an open banking provider in KSA under SAMA Fintech Regulatory Sandbox, and is currently testing open banking services in Kuwait under the Central Bank of Kuwait sandbox.
