Danielle Monteverde Potocek

Danielle Monteverde Potocek is a Natural Systems Scientist at Spark Climate Solutions, specializing in the study of natural emissions of short-lived climate forcers like methane, and engaging with stakeholders to advance research. Previously, Danielle served as a consultant at Imaginative Futures, translating complex technical products into impactful narratives. Danielle's experience also includes a Geobiology Postdoctoral Fellowship at Caltech, where research focused on the role of trace metals in microbial environments, and a Project Scientist position at Larry Walker Associates, providing technical support for water quality compliance. As a research and teaching assistant at the University of Southern California, Danielle received multiple teaching awards while contributing to significant research on environmental sampling and analysis. Danielle's early career involved consulting on environmental regulations at ICF International, where extensive contributions were made to over 15 Environmental Impact Statements. Danielle holds a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Southern California and a BS in Environmental Studies from Bucknell University.
