David Villegas is an experienced technology professional currently serving as the CTO at Spark Cooperative since October 2018. Previously, David founded and led architecture at Senscale, where web development and Big Data analytics were key focuses. Notable projects include the development of a content management system for the cruise and hospitality sectors and a real estate information visualization system integrating GIS processing and machine learning. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineer at RE Console, where David worked on ETL pipelines and Natural Language Processing, and a Senior Software Developer and Hadoop Team Lead at IBM, overseeing the design and development of Hadoop's High Availability feature. David began a research assistant role at Florida International University while earning a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the institution.
