Krista Charland

Krista Charland has extensive work experience as an Occupational Therapist. Krista has worked in various settings including community, private clinical, and hospital environments. Krista has been employed at Spark Lifecare since 2022 as the Director of Occupational Therapy. Prior to this, they worked at The Ottawa Hospital starting in 2018. From 2015 to 2018, Krista worked as an Occupational Therapist at Swanson & Associates Inc., providing rehabilitation services to clients with traumatic brain injuries, chronic pain, mental health, and orthopedic disorders. In 2015, they also worked at CommuniCare Health Services, focusing on pediatric care in schools and providing services to children with various diagnoses. Krista gained experience in acute care, intensive care, and short-term rehabilitation settings at Montfort Hospital from 2014 to 2015. Krista started their career in 2013 at CBI Health Group, assisting clients in improving their ability to perform meaningful activities and facilitating their return to work after disabilities. Krista is a bilingual Occupational Therapist registered with the College of Occupational Therapy of Ontario, with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics and a Master's Degree in Rehabilitative Sciences in Occupational Therapy from the University of Ottawa.

Krista Charland completed a Bachelor's of Science degree in the Science of Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa from 2007 to 2011. Krista then pursued a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy/Therapist at the same university from 2011 to 2013.
