Kaushalya Kumarasinghe

Kaushalya Kumarasinghe, PhD, is a Chapter Lead and Data Scientist at Spark New Zealand since July 2022. Prior to this role, Kaushalya was a Data Scientist at Exsurgo from October 2021 to August 2022, focusing on extracting insights from clinical data to assess non-pharmaceutical treatments for neurological issues. Kaushalya completed a PhD in Computer Science at Auckland University of Technology, where also served as a Doctoral Candidate from January 2016 to May 2021. Previously, Kaushalya worked as a Lecturer at the University of Moratuwa and held trainee positions at Sampath Bank Plc. and the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka. Kaushalya obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Information Technology from the University of Moratuwa.
