Kevin McComber

Kevin McComber is a co-founder and CEO of Spark Photonics, where the company specializes in integrated photonics design and process design kit development services. In addition to this role, Kevin serves as the co-founder and executive director of the Spark Photonics Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging students in STEM and entrepreneurship through photonics technologies. Kevin also holds positions as an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and an industrial advisory board member at Western New England University. Prior experience includes serving as the assistant director at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a consultant and manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance, business ownership at Sublimity, and a senior process engineer at Intel Corporation. Kevin holds both a bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering and Physics, as well as a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering with a focus on Photonics, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
