Rebecca Dono has extensive experience in the media and entertainment industry, currently serving as the Executive Producer of the Local Music Show and Deputy Head of Music at Spark Sunderland since December 2015. In addition to these roles, Rebecca also works as a presenter and producer at the same organization. Since February 2018, Rebecca has been a Radio Presenter at Sun fm and has held the position of Student Ambassador at boohoo.com since September 2016. Earlier professional experience includes photography at Pixifoto from July 2016 to February 2017 and sales assistance at Argos from September 2015 to January 2016. Rebecca holds a BA (Hons) in Broadcast Media Production from the University of Sunderland, completed in 2018, and A levels in Media, Photography, and Fashion from Sunderland College between 2013 and 2015.

Spark - Where Sunderland Lives 107 Spark FM is Sunderland’s community radio station. Based at the University of Sunderland’s St Peter’s Campus, we make use of industry standard equipped studios and the extensive experience of the University’s staff to help create fantastic community radio. As a community radio station, we provide a platform for local people to inform the community of news and events which are of interest to our target audience. We pride ourselves on being in a position to offer an accessible medium where people can talk to others; from their neighbourhood, about issues which concern them. Having the ability to focus on Sunderland allows us to provide localised programming; local music, events and developing issues. We therefore have the capacity to provide content and entertainment relevant to those in the surrounding area. 107 Spark FM is the station serving the 15-24 year olds of Sunderland. The station aims to create opportunities for people to tell their stories and contribute to discussions that affect them on a local and national level.
