Sanel Kusturica MSc has been appointed as Member of the Management Board of Sparkasse Bank AD Skopje on 26.03.2021.
He started his banking career in 1999 as part of Micro Enterprise Bank AD Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he performed several positions related with lending, and in 2001 he was appointed as Head of Lending Sector. He held this position until 2003, when he became part of the Management Board and Executive Director of ProCredit Bank AD Sarajevo. In 2006 Kusturica has been appointed as Head of Division responsible for large corporate clients and key clients in UniCredit Zagrebacka Bank. In 2007 he became Executive Director and Management Board Member in HVB-Central Profit Bank, and from March, 2008 has been appointed as Executive Director and Management Board Member in UniCredit Bank BiH.
Kusturica became part of Erste and Steiermerkische Group in June 2009, with his appointment as Executive Director and Management Board Member of Sparkasse Bank AD BiH, where in September, 2009 was appointed CEO and President of the Management Board of the Bank, responsible for Sales sector for retail and small businesses, Sector for development of business with retail and small enterprises, Operations sector, Directorate for Human Resources, Directorate for Marketing, Communication and Quality of Service and Directorate for Sekretariat and compliance. He performed this function until the end of January, 2021.
Starting from 17th of July, 2021, i.e. first day after conducting the status change – accession of Ohridska bank AD, Kusturica is appointed as Deputy President of the Management Board of the Bank, responsible for retail activities and marketing and product development activities.
