Rhys Laval

Rhys Laval's work experience includes a variety of roles in the technology industry. Rhys is currently a Co-founder and Technical Director at SparkLayer B2B eCommerce. Prior to that, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at blubolt.

Before joining blubolt, Rhys served as the Principal Architect at WCBS, where they led the architecture of a new flagship edutech product called HUBmis. Rhys'sresponsibilities included growing the technical team, creating simplified UX and API designs, and teaching the IT team how to create and manage k8s clusters.

Rhys also held the position of Technical Director at Kipos Systems Ltd, where they oversaw the development of an EPOS system offered as a SAAS. In addition, they worked as the Head of Platform and Platform Technical Lead at blubolt, where they led a multidisciplinary team and ensured the growth and evolution of the company's eCommerce platform.

Earlier in their career, Rhys worked as a Software Developer at GoodEat and Brightside, where they contributed to the development of web-based systems using various programming languages such as C#, PHP, VB.NET, and VB6.
