Gulin Vardar

Gulin Vardar is an experienced professional in the field of materials science and engineering, currently serving as an R&D Manager at SPARKZ Inc. since September 2023. Previously, Gulin held the position of Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Boğaziçi University from February 2018 to June 2023. Gulin's academic journey includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on solid state battery interfaces and synchrotron radiation characterization from February 2016 to January 2018. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, specializing in metal/air batteries and molecular beam epitaxy of III-V materials from September 2010 to February 2016, along with an internship at DENSO in early 2015 on a magnesium/oxygen battery team. Gulin earned both a Ph.D. and a Master's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan between January 2010 and January 2016.
