Joe Tracy

Joe Tracy is an experienced professional in the fields of hardware and software development, particularly within the hard disk drive industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Strategic Projects at Sparx Hockey since February 2022, Joe previously held the role of Director of Strategic Projects at the same company. Joe has been with Applied Kinetics, Inc. since January 1998, focusing on software and controls development, with expertise in machine automation, robotics, and process control algorithms. From January 2020 to February 2022, Joe was the owner of BladeScan and also managed TracyCorp, LLC during the same timeframe. Joe’s earlier experience includes a supervisory position at Hutchinson Technology, where leadership of a team of over 20 engineers focused on process engineering and automation lines was key. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, supplemented by a minor in Computer Science.
