Karis Tenneson

Director Of Environmental Mapping at Spatial Informatics Group

Karis Tenneson serves as the Director of Environmental Mapping and Sr Scientist at Spatial Informatics Group, LLC since October 2018. With extensive experience in remote sensing and environmental planning, Karis has contributed to significant projects at RedCastle Resources as a Sr Remote Sensing Scientist, focusing on applied research to inform global land management decisions. Previous roles include Spatial Analyst at the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, Instructor and Research Associate at the University of Washington's Dept. of Urban Design & Planning, Research Analyst at the Pacific Northwest Research Station, and Environmental Planner for Westchester County. Karis holds a Ph.D. in Urban Design and Planning and a Master's in Environmental Planning from the University of Washington, along with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Mathematics from Luther College.
