Nick Brook has a diverse range of work experience in various leadership and advisory roles. Nick currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Speakers for Schools. Prior to this, they held the position of Deputy General Secretary at NAHT (National Association of Head Teachers). Before that, they established their own consulting firm, Brook Consulting, where they provided support to start-ups and established organizations. Nick also worked as the Head of Group at Ofsted, leading research programs and external communications. Additionally, Nick served as a Programme Director at Their Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary, where they led independent reviews and developed inspection programs. Nick also held a significant role in the Home Office as the Deputy Director, where they oversaw the Anti-Social Behaviour and Crime Prevention Unit. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Director of Remodelling at the Training and Development Agency for Schools and as a Recruitment Strategy Manager at East Sussex County Council. Nick's experience also includes a background in teaching in primary schools.

Nick Brook completed their Bachelor's degree in History at the University of Kent from 1990 to 1993. Nick then went on to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a focus on Primary education at the University of Sussex from 1993 to 1994.
