Speakers for Schools
Sophie Watt is an experienced professional in the field of arts education and museum studies, currently serving as a Programme Officer for Enrichment Activities at Speakers for Schools since January 2022. Prior to this, Sophie held roles such as Museums & Schools Learning Assistant at Gallery Oldham and Learning Trainee at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum under the National Trust for Scotland. Additional experience includes freelance work as an artist, after-school club assistant, and creative practitioner, as well as various positions supporting workshops and educational programs across multiple organizations, including Blackpool Council and Manchester City Council. Sophie holds a Master’s Degree in Art Gallery and Museum Studies from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor's Degree in History of Art from the University of Leeds, complemented by a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design from Blackpool and The Fylde College.
