Courtney Shirley

Courtney Shirley, PhD, currently serves as the Associate Director of Product Marketing at Spear Bio, a position held since September 2025. Prior to this role, Courtney was the Associate Director of Marketing Operations and Commercial Marketing Manager at Quanterix from April 2023 to September 2025, where efforts focused on enhancing brand presence and lead conversion through strategic content initiatives. As Science Program Director at The Sturge-Weber Foundation from January 2022 to April 2023, Courtney contributed to the strategic development of science programs and grant opportunities for the Sturge-Weber community. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, involved in preclinical drug development for acute myeloid leukemia, and research at Bates College on chiral solvating agents. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a BS in Biological Chemistry from Bates College.
