Eric Finkelstein

Clinical Director at SPEAR Physical Therapy

Eric Finkelstein earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College, where he also received his bachelor’s degree in Clinical Health Studies with a minor in Exercise Science. Eric’s clinical experience includes working in orthopedics, neurological rehabilitation, return-to-sport, injury prevention, and pediatrics. Toward the end of his time at Ithaca, Eric conducted research on total knee replacements, and on how various patient factors effects the rehab process.

Eric invested his time well at Ithaca College in his pursuit of both clinical and extracurricular activities. He worked at the college’s physical therapy clinic with a soccer player rehabilitating from an ACL injury. He also helped an individual return to walking after the patient suffered a stroke. Eric became involved working with a group of his peers to build injury preventative programs for various club sports teams, including soccer, volleyball, basketball, ice hockey, equestrian, and dance. On top of his clinical experience, Eric served as a teaching assistant for Anatomy and Physiology for four years. He served as a manager for Ithaca’s Women’s varsity volleyball team, as well as a player and a coach for the Men’s Club volleyball team.
