Jason Kang

Pediatric Program Director at SPEAR Physical Therapy

Jason Kang, Director of Spear’s Pediatrics / Adolescents program, received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Scranton. Jason participated in various collegiate intramural sports and was a member of the Men’s Club Volleyball team. Also at Scranton, he participated in a number of charity events, including a service trip to Arizona working with children with neurological disorders. He gained valuable experience in orthopedics and neurological rehabilitation through his rotations.

Jason decided to become a physical therapist because he wanted to provide a more direct, hands-on approach to treatment for patients of all ages. Being an athlete all of his life he has a great understanding of the various injuries that can occur throughout the lifespan. Jason also has a special interest in the Pediatric population where he aims to create a fun and focused environment that is engaging for children during their rehabilitation. Lastly, Jason is a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) certified expert, which allows him to perform golf swing analysis on his patients.
