Jeff Patton serves as the Director of Spaceflight Safety and System Engineering at Special Aerospace Services, LLC (SAS) / SAS Flight Factory since January 2019. Previously, Patton was the owner of Patton Aerospace Services, LLC from October 2018 to January 2019. Prior experience includes a role as the Human Launch Services Systems Engineering and Integration Manager at United Launch Alliance (ULA) from 2006 to September 2018, overseeing advanced studies for commercial human spaceflight and cargo delivery. Patton held a managerial position in Systems Engineering and Integration at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company from 1994 to 2006, contributing to the Atlas III and V programs. Earlier career roles include Project Engineer at General Dynamics from 1987 to 1994, focusing on advanced programs at NASA's Johnson Space Center, and Flight Design Engineer at McDonnell Douglas from 1983 to 1987, working on Space Shuttle crew and payload integration. Patton holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Saint Louis University.
