Alicia Dawson, M.A., CCC-SLP, currently serves as a volunteer at Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Rutherford County since March 2022 and has been working as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Special Kids Therapy & Nursing Center since July 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow at EBS Healthcare (August 2018 - May 2019) and various externships focusing on treatment and evaluation across diverse age groups and disorders. Alicia's clinical experience encompasses the development and implementation of treatment plans, collaboration with educators, and management of care for individuals with complex communication needs. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Houston.

Special Kids is a nonprofit outpatient pediatric therapy and skilled nursing facility with a mission to serve Jesus Christ by caring for His children. We serve children from birth through age 21 with a wide variety of diagnoses and medical complexities, ranging from medically fragile, developmentally delayed to typically developing children. Special Kids, a Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation facility, offers speech, occupational, physical, and feeding therapies in addition to daytime pediatric skilled nursing care.
