Glenn Toepert has extensive experience in community service and athletic program management. Currently a member of the State Committee for the Law Enforcement Torch Run with Special Olympics New Jersey since March 2006, Glenn has played a key role in organizing multiple fundraising events for athletes. As a Trustee and Gold Level Coach for the Bergen County Wildcats Program, involvement spans from its inception to the present, contributing to the development of Special Olympics athletes. Additionally, Glenn serves as a Board Trustee for the Andiamo Benefit Motorcycle Run, which supports various causes. Formerly, Glenn managed maintenance for athletic facilities at Saint Joseph Regional High School and was actively involved in the Sports Field Managers Association of NJ. A retired Police Captain from Saddle Brook NJ Police Department, Glenn has a solid educational foundation in Health Science Education and Law Enforcement.

The organization operates on an annual budget primarily funded through individual, corporate, civic and foundation dollars that make up more than 98% of the annual operating budget. In addition to providing training and competition to over 25,000 athletes through traditional programming, school-based sports, Young Athletes and Unified Sports, Special Olympics New Jersey provides leadership programs and a comprehensive Healthy Athlete program that provides free screenings in six disciplines. Athletes develop skills, strength and build confidence through participation, so for them and their families, Special Olympics New Jersey has opened doors to unimagined possibilities. For those who volunteer, support, and sponsor the Games, it inspires unprecedented pride and hope for a brighter future. And for the schools, counties and towns who host events, it transforms society, creating a more just and understanding environment for all.
